Tassel Bunting for the Kids' Room
If you’ve been following along for a while, you’ll know that we live in a pretty small rented home in the middle of the city of Brighton. For the last few years we have seen it as a temporary home while we wait to be able to buy our own. However after two failed house moves this year, we decided that we didn’t want to wait any longer to live in a place that feels like our home and I’ve been on a mission to make it feel like ours ever since, even though we don’t know how long we’ll be here.
The first room I wanted to tackle was the smallest room in the house, our kids room. We got a triple bunk bed to squeeze them all in better and gave the whole room a make over.
I knew I wanted to make something for their room and settled on some knitted bunting to cheer up their walls. I went for a neutral toffee brown, complete with natural wooden beads and tassels and here it is:
Knit using simple garter stitch, one of my favourite stitches, and with decrease shaping to give the triangles a slightly elongated point, this is a really quick and easy project and I’m really happy with it!
